Annie Williams

Annie Williams BSc, MSci Physiotherapy, Kings College London, 2001

MCSP HCPC : PH61039

Annie studied at King’s College London and holds a BSc and MSci in Physiotherapy. She began her career working within the NHS gaining a broad variety of experience, but then seized the opportunity to work overseas, and spent 2 seasons working in ski resorts in Europe, and 3 years based at the world renowned sports resort Club La Santa in Lanzarote. Here she worked with and treated a wide range of sports people from enthusiastic amateurs to Olympic and elite athletes.

Since returning to the UK, she has worked within private practice in South West London specialising in musculoskeletal and sporting injuries and post operative rehab. She also has an interest in children’s sporting injuries.

Annie is a very hands-on therapist and uses her wide experience to not only help to relieve pain and aid recovery for her patients, but to find the root cause of the problem to prevent recurrences or re-injury. She thrives on the challenge of treating every patient as an individual and working with them to achieve whatever their goal may be, from everyday functional activities to specific sports performance.

Annie’s passion for health and well being also ties in with her sporting background, having played international hockey for Wales including competing in the Commonwealth Games in 1998. She then moved towards long distance endurance events completing numerous marathons and Ironman triathlons, and represented Great Britain at both 70.3 and Hawaii Ironman Championships.

Annie has recently returned ‘home’ to Wales and even though being a mum to 2 young daughters takes up most of her time away from work, she loves nothing more than early morning running through the country lanes and is so happy to be back near the coast.

Fun Fact

Annie has an alter ego on the dance floor and has been known to choreograph a few special Wedding First Dances – including her sister’s and her own!
